Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights Returns for Second Year, Illuminating Ocean Drive with Music, Magic, and a Drone Show
The Miami Beach Holiday Festival of Lights is set to make the holiday season brighter than ever, returning for its second annual celebration from Wednesday, December 11, 2024, through Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Presented by the Miami Music Festival (MMF) and produced by Artistic Director Michael Rossi, this dazzling event promises to captivate audiences of all ages with a groundbreaking blend of live music, spectacular lights, and cutting-edge projection mapping displays, all celebrating the rich tapestry of international holiday traditions.
A Symphony of Light and Sound on Ocean Drive
The festival’s central feature is its innovative use of projection mapping technology, which combines with live musical performances to create exciting and memorable experiences. Intricate lighting designs and captivating visuals will overlap, turning some of South Beach’s most iconic building façades—including five consecutive buildings along Ocean Drive and The Betsy Hotel—into interactive, vibrant exhibits. Every surface during these productions will become a living canvas, with projections playing off the buildings’ various shapes and textures in perfect unison with the rhythm of the music.
These groundbreaking live musical performances will feature a full symphony orchestra and surprise appearances from beloved holiday characters, including Santa Claus, the Grinch, and Elsa.

Thanks to the City of Miami Beach, this one-of-a-kind evening will combine the Holiday Festival of Lights with a spectacular Drone Show, which can be viewed from Lummus Park. This unforgettable combination of music, light, and holiday magic is a must-see event.
