Open Call for Artists: Boca Raton Fine Art Show by Hot Works, December 12–13, 2026
Apply to this outdoor art fair
Professional visual artists working in original fine art and contemporary craft are invited to apply for the Boca Raton Fine Art Fair by Hot Works, taking place December 12 and 13, 2026, at Sanborn Square Park in downtown Boca Raton, Florida.
Presented as a carefully juried, boutique-style outdoor art fair, the event brings professional artists into direct contact with collectors, residents, cultural visitors, and buyers interested in acquiring original work. The show will be held entirely outdoors from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.
A Outdoor Art Show in Downtown Boca Raton
Sanborn Square Park is located at 72 N. Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432, near the intersection of Federal Highway and Palmetto Park Road.
The park sits within Boca Raton’s active downtown cultural district, surrounded by Mizner Park, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, galleries, luxury retail, restaurants, hotels, and residential communities. Its central location makes the fair easily accessible to local residents and visitors exploring South Florida during the winter season.
Boca Raton combines coastal living with a strong cultural and commercial identity. Its audience includes educated, culturally engaged residents and seasonal visitors with an established interest in art, design, collecting, and high-quality handmade work.
For participating artists, this environment offers more than general public exposure. It provides the opportunity to meet potential collectors, explain the ideas and processes behind the work, develop new professional relationships, and sell directly to buyers.
Who Should Apply?
The open call is directed to professional artists working in original, personally handmade art.
All fine art and craft media are welcome, including:
- Painting
- Sculpture
- Photography
- Ceramics
- Glass

Every exhibited work must be created by the participating artist. Commercially manufactured objects, imported merchandise, mass-produced work, and buy-and-sell products are not permitted.
Applications are evaluated through a competitive jury process conducted by art professionals. Selection emphasizes artistic quality, originality, craftsmanship, technical ability, visual presentation, and the overall coherence of the artist’s body of work.
Why Exhibit at the Boca Raton Fine Art Show?
Hot Works describes its mission as connecting serious art buyers with accomplished professional artists. Rather than building an event around the largest possible number of exhibitors, the organization places emphasis on the quality of the work and the relationship between artists and patrons.
According to the organizers, the Boca Raton Fine Art Show’s winter edition has been recognized among the Top 100 Art Shows in America. Its boutique format is intended to create a more focused experience for exhibitors and visitors.
Artists participating in the fair can benefit from:
- Direct access to collectors and art buyers
- A highly visible downtown Boca Raton location
- A juried environment centered on original art
- Opportunities to sell without gallery commissions
- Professional event management
- Booth sitters during show hours
- On-site security during public hours

Music and food vendors are not placed within the artist booth areas, helping keep public attention centered on the artwork and conversations between artists and patrons.

Marketing and Audience Development
Hot Works supports its events through a combination of traditional media, digital promotion, community outreach, and direct communication with previous attendees.
The promotional campaign may include:
- Television
- Radio
- Print advertising
- Digital marketing
- Social media
- Media partnerships
- Street banners
- Posters
- Postcards
- Direct outreach to previous visitors and collectors
The objective is to attract patrons who are not simply attending a public festival, but who are interested in discovering, discussing, and purchasing original art.
Producer and founder Patty Narozny brings more than 35 years of experience in media and event production. Hot Works presents its events as professionally organized art shows designed to support artists before, during, and after the exhibition weekend.
Maintaining the Integrity of the Art Fair
One of the central principles of the Hot Works model is the exclusion of imported, commercially manufactured, and mass-produced merchandise.
This distinction is important within the outdoor art-fair field. A juried art fair creates value by allowing the public to meet the actual creators of the work, ask questions about materials and processes, and understand the intellectual and technical decisions behind each piece.
Hot Works encourages participating artists to confidentially report work they believe may violate the event’s originality requirements. This policy is intended to protect professional artists and maintain the confidence of collectors attending the fair.
A Strategic Opportunity for Visual Artists
For independent artists, an outdoor fine art fair can function simultaneously as an exhibition, marketplace, networking environment, and audience-development platform.
Success at a juried event depends on more than placing artwork inside a tent. Artists should arrive with:
- A visually coherent body of work
- Professional booth presentation
- Clearly displayed prices
- Secure payment options
- Business cards or printed information
- Packaging for purchased works
- A concise explanation of their artistic practice
- A strategy for collecting interested visitors’ contact information
- Updated website and social-media profiles
Collectors often remember the quality of the conversation as clearly as the artwork itself. Artists should be prepared to discuss the ideas, research, materials, techniques, and experiences that shape their practice without overwhelming visitors with unnecessarily complex language.
Additional Boca Raton Fine Art Show Dates
Hot Works has announced three Boca Raton Fine Art Show dates for the 2026–2027 season:
- November 7–8, 2026
- December 12–13, 2026
- January 30–31, 2027
Artists may select the event that best matches their schedule, inventory, travel plans, and target audience.
How to Apply
Artists must select the appropriate Hot Works event and submit their application through ZAPP for jury review and approval.
Applicants should prepare professional images that accurately represent the work they intend to exhibit. The application may also require a booth photograph, artist information, medium classification, and descriptions of materials and techniques.
After acceptance, artists must complete the required booth payment and any selected rental or promotional fees directly through Hot Works.
Because booth availability may be limited, artists should review the official application requirements and submit their materials well in advance.
