Applying to art school is a competitive process—and a compelling portfolio can make all the difference. I specialize in guiding students applying to programs in Fine Art, Architecture, Animation, Interior Design, and Fashion, helping them build portfolios that stand out. My students have been accepted into top programs across South Florida universities and community colleges.
What is an Art Portfolio?
An art portfolio is a curated selection of a student’s strongest and most representative creative work. It’s more than a collection of art pieces; it’s a demonstration of technical skills, conceptual thinking, creativity, and personal voice. Colleges and universities that offer art and design programs typically require a portfolio as a core component of the admissions process.
A successful portfolio should:
- Show a range of techniques and media
- Highlight original ideas and creative exploration
- Reflect consistent effort and personal vision
- Follow the specific format and content requested by each school
Because many traditional college counselors do not specialize in art admissions, I offer two tailored programs to support students in building strong, focused portfolios.
Head Start Program (Portfolio Development)
This program is designed for freshmen and sophomores who plan to apply to art school. It helps students build direction early in their high school years, allowing their portfolios to grow thoughtfully and strategically over time.
Review Program (Portfolio Review and Refinement)
This program is for juniors and seniors preparing to submit their portfolios. It includes a detailed review of existing work, school-specific feedback, and a personalized plan to improve and finalize the portfolio under approaching deadlines.
Each program is offered through private, one-on-one sessions and is designed to guide students with clarity, confidence, and creativity throughout the admissions process.
