VillageOneArt, New York | March 5 – April 11, 2026
In the Mood for Love, a group exhibition presented at VillageOneArt in New York City, brought together 19 contemporary artists whose diverse practices explored the complexities of human connection, emotional experience, and the evolving meanings of love.
Curated by Christy Dandan Qin and Ruoqi Amy Zhou, the exhibition invited audiences to consider love beyond conventional romantic narratives, opening space for reflections on intimacy, vulnerability, identity, and the relationships that shape human experience.
The participating artists were Chunqing Huang, Min Luo, Jingyu Xu, Min Huang, Yu Cheng, Leru Chen, Jeana Zhang, Anna Song, Yanzi Zhang, Shen Cai, Yangyang Wei, Pei Ou, I Chin Sung, Alexandra Evans, Julia Shen, Renee Magnanti, Xinyu Wo, Eunha Kim, Cheryl Ma, and Arom Ju.
Through the coexistence of different artistic perspectives, In the Mood for Love offered an opportunity to reflect on the emotional and psychological dimensions of contemporary life, suggesting that love is not merely a feeling but also a space of negotiation between individuality, vulnerability, and the desire for connection.
The exhibition opened on March 5, 2026, and remained on view through April 11, 2026, at VillageOneArt, 150 W 25th Street, Suite 403, New York, NY 10001.
