ABOUT THE SHOWThe purpose of this exhibition is to evaluate the contemporary artistic expressions in the flow of our new pandemic civilization. The pandemic, prolonged in a time of global uncertainty, has changed mentalities and perspectives on life, as well as modified patterns, styles, and ways of existing; life has changed from externality to internality (sometimes aphasic, desperate, and constrained by insurmountable inner challenges); from sociality to confinement; from routine normality to a radical breakdown of the life system, where all social, economic, cultural and philosophical strata have been critically re-dimensioned and continue to be re-dimensioned to infinite levels. Contemporary humans have left behind a known way of life to enter a new uncharted path plain of reflections and adaptations. However, artists endure amid changes, and their creative path enriches and solidifies, inserting into their works glimpses of the crisis, frontal explosions, or denoted visions of reality. From abstract, kinetic, and optical art to neo-figurative, from paintings, drawings and mixed media to photography and videos, their art becomes impressively alive.
