Working primarily through materially driven processes informed by medical and industrial systems, LaTorre constructs hybrid anatomies that resist fixed classification, occupying a liminal space between organism and apparatus, body and infrastructure.
His forms—often reminiscent of restraints, prosthetics, or obsolete mechanical devices—operate not as representations, but as embodiments of pressure. Tension becomes both a formal strategy and a conceptual framework, registering failure not as collapse, but as trace: a visible residue of forces acting upon and within the body.
