Talks: Olga Viso

Olga Viso, independent curator and nonprofit arts consultant, known for her scholarship in contemporary Latin American art.
Working with artists, museums, foundations and universities, Viso is senior advisor at Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University. She is a Visiting Scholar at the Smithsonian Institution and a Fellow at the Mellon Foundation.
She previously served as executive director of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and curator of contemporary art and director at Washington’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, as well as positions at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art and Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach. Viso has served on the boards of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Association of Art Museum Directors and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Marion Boulton Stroud Foundation.
In 2013 she was appointed by President Obama to the National Council on the Arts.
