A Reflective Exhibition Exploring Personal Histories and Creative Journeys
Members’ exhibition opens October 2 alongside solo shows by
Marco Saint-Juste and Kaila Stutzmann
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (September 28, 2026) – ArtServe will present “In Memory Of,” its upcoming members’ exhibition, from October 2 through December 4, 2026. The exhibition will open with a free public reception on Friday, October 2 at 6 p.m.
Closing out the season, “In Memory Of” invites ArtServe members to share a small piece of their past through art. Inspired by the emotions, memories and experiences that shape personal histories, the exhibition offers an open-ended exploration of self-expression, nostalgia, time, grief, joy and the moments that remain with us.
From meaningful milestones and cherished memories to difficult experiences, fleeting moments or even something as simple as a memorable meal, the works reflect the many ways people connect with their past. Together, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to consider how memory influences identity, creativity and the stories we tell.
The exhibition is supported by BrightStar Credit Union, the Broward County Cultural Division, and The Elizabeth Cotter Memorial Fund and the Hudson Fund through the Community Foundation of Broward.
“Art has a remarkable ability to preserve moments, express emotions and help us understand our own histories,” said Jason Hughes, president and CEO of ArtServe. “This exhibition gives our members the opportunity to reflect on the experiences that have shaped them as artists and to share those stories with the community through their creative work.”

In conjunction with the members’ exhibition, ArtServe will also present two solo exhibitions in its side galleries: “Echoes of Her” by Kaila Stutzmann, which received a grant from the Broward County Cultural Division, and “Spark” by Marco Saint-Juste.
Among the works submitted for “In Memory Of” are “Golden Time” by Elizabeth Lula and “Peace by With You” by Nanette Saylor, offering individual perspectives on the exhibition’s themes of memory, experience and personal history.
Other member artists featured in the exhibition include Alviena, Angel Oddo, Cary Daly, Claudia Castillo, Debra Pierce, Diana Kullander, DJ Laoshi, Genhe Ding, Igal Hurvitz, Jeffrey Galin, Joe Korte, Joy Strempack, Julia Outland, Geraldine Bello, Kaila Stutzmann, Kamila Marrero, Kathy Kafka, Liora Davis, Marco Saint-Juste, Marilyn Johansen, Max Lazega, Michael Mills, Nanette Saylor, Pete Brown, Shahina Siddiqi, Sheila Alexander, Sharon Swift, Tina Wright and Tony Chimento.
ArtServe is located at 1350 East Sunrise Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. Open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Daily admission is free.
