DC Family Foundation Presents: ArtTalk with Dedé Lins and Jennifer Inacio
Closing Conversation and Final Works Presentation from Artist-in-Residence Dedé Lins
“El arte de Dedé Lins (Salvador de Bahía, Brasil, 1972) es evidentemente heredero de la tradición latinoamericana vinculada al concretismo surgido de las segundas vanguardias, la marcada geometría de sus composiciones hallan antecedentes tanto en Max Bill como en Julio Le Parc.” Jordi Garrido Curador de arte / Barcelona
The DC Family Foundation is proud to present a special edition of ArtTalk featuring acclaimed artist Dedé Lins in conversation with Jennifer Inacio, Associate Curator at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). This public event, held on Wednesday, July 2 at 6:30 p.m., marks the culmination of Lins’ three-month residency with the Foundation.
Hosted at the DC Family Foundation headquarters in Coral Gables (4255 SW 7th St, Miami, FL 33134), this evening will offer guests a unique opportunity to engage with the artist as he unveils the final works developed during his residency. Complimentary valet parking will be provided.
Dedé Lins is known for his compelling integration of digital and analog techniques, incorporating leather, aluminum, rubber, and wood into his work. His visual language draws from minimalism, the Brazilian concrete art tradition, and African artistic heritage, forming a rich and textured narrative that speaks to identity, form, and material.
Joining him in conversation is Jennifer Inacio, a leading voice in contemporary curatorial practice. At PAMM, Inacio recently curated One Becomes Many, an exhibition spotlighting intergenerational legacies among Black Brazilian artists. She also serves as an ambassador for The55Project, which promotes Latin American contemporary art.
“This ArtTalk represents not only the end of a dynamic residency, but the beginning of important conversations around cultural hybridity, material exploration, and the power of contemporary art to build bridges between traditions,” said a DC Family Foundation spokesperson.
Join us in celebrating this milestone evening of dialogue, insight, and artistic reflection.
