MoCA-Americas Presents Ana Albertina Delgado’s Solo Exhibition “Women Who I Could’ve Been”
The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas (MoCA-Americas) is proud to announce the upcoming solo exhibition of renowned artist Ana Albertina Delgado, titled “Women Who I Could’ve Been.” The exhibition will open on July 12th, 2024, showcasing 12 magnificent paintings in various formats.

This marks Delgado’s first solo exhibition at MoCA-Americas, although her work has been part of the museum’s collection and featured in numerous group exhibitions across South Florida. The exhibition offers a unique and intimate look at her latest creations, exploring themes of diversity and the role of women in society.
Ana Albertina Delgado, born in Havana, Cuba in 1963, is a prominent figure in contemporary art. Her pictorial language expresses current social debates, building human scenarios that reflect upon the construction of quotidian life. Delgado’s work is known for its bold use of color, accomplished technique, and rich thematic exploration.
“Seldom is the inner essence of feminine life so clearly expressed as in the work of this artist,” comments curator and art critic Gerardo Mosquera. “Her painting derives completely from a woman’s vision and sensibility, even when the questions discussed do not especially pertain to women.”
Delgado’s work is held in prestigious collections worldwide, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Frost Art Museum. She currently lives and works in Fort Myers, USA.
