The Contemporary Art Modern Project is honored to announce its first exhibition of 2026, Vision / Version, featuring Pablo Power in his first solo exhibition in Miami. The exhibition opens at The CAMP Gallery and will be on view from January 17 through February 21, 2026.
For more than a decade, Power has been developing ideas and memories that culminate in Vision / Version. Reflecting on his earliest encounters with Miami’s local art scene, the artist presents a body of work that revisits formative experiences in the city. Central to the exhibition is the intersection between what is remembered (intention) and what is lived (reality).
Power explains:
“This version of my vision brings me back to Miami for the first time in nearly a decade, to revisit the genesis of my creative inspiration. I had the great privilege of living in Miami during a unique period of cultural evolution, which shaped my earliest understanding of intention versus reality.”
This conceptual tension is evident in Power’s long-standing practice of destruction as a generative act—from tearing down posters to transfer their remnants into new works, to releasing pieces into natural environments to strip away the superficial, and then laboring with elemental forces to reveal hidden value.
The exhibition creates a compelling dialogue between earlier works and new productions, charting both the artist’s evolution and his sustained commitment to exploring lived experience. Although Power has spent many years away from Miami and is now based in Brooklyn, NY, the city’s distinctive light and visual language remain embedded in his palette. Vision / Version stands as a testament to Miami’s lasting influence on his creative foundation.
During a month-long residency at The CAMP Gallery, Power will extend this exchange through an ambitious public program that includes film screenings, artist talks, poetry events, panel discussions, music, and other activations, evoking the vibrant creative spirit of Miami in the 1980s.
Alongside mixed-media works, sculpture, and video, the exhibition features unique print collaborations with Keigo Prints, Inc., as well as special editions of offset prints and zines—each layer deepening an ongoing dialogue with the city that continues to inspire the artist.
