MIAMI BEACH CLASSICAL MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 2025 LINEUP OF FREE CONCERTS AND IMMERSIVE SHOWS
Local Nonprofit Dedicated to the Arts Launches Its Summer Series with a Miami Beach Pride Concert, Followed by Live Shows by South Florida Artists and Next-Generation Musicians, and the Debut of Miami Beach’s New Immersive Theater.
Miami Beach Classical Music Festival (MMF), a nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable, world-class musical instruction and groundbreaking performance experiences to young artists and the South Florida community, returns for its highly anticipated 2025 summer series, starting May 31 through August 31 in Miami Beach at select locations. New this year, MMF is unveiling Miami Beach’s first permanent immersive theater—transforming the grand ballroom of Temple Emanu-El into a state-of-the-art venue where 360-degree projection mapping surrounds audiences in sight and sound. Designed for live performance, classical music, and community events, the space marks a bold new chapter in the city’s cultural landscape.
Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s performances, MMF is excited to host the following live concerts and performances:
● Miami Beach Pride Concert – Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, at 8:30 p.m. on Ocean Drive and 12th Street Kick off Pride Month with a captivating concert experience presented by the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival on Ocean Drive and 12th Street. The Miami Beach Pride Concert willfeature evening performances on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1, at 8:30 p.m., showcasing a lineup of talented performers accompanied by striking visuals. As the sun sets, the iconic Tides building will transform into a canvas for a stunning projection mapping display.
These dynamic, Pride-themed visuals will light up the night sky, creating a vibrant backdrop for the performances. This free event is presented in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau and Miami Beach Pride.

● Annual Independence Day Fireworks & Patriotic Concert – Friday, July 4, at 8:30 p.m. at Lummus Park The annual fireworks show and concert presented by the Ocean Drive Association and the City of Miami Beach will feature a performance at 8:30 p.m. by the MMF Symphony Orchestra and Alumni Division singers conducted by MMF founder and artistic director Michael Rossi. Celebrate the holiday listening to Broadway favorites and patriotic music, including Tchaikovsky’s bombastic 1812 Overture, the Armed Forces Salute, “The Stars and Stripes Forever” and more.
The performance will be accompanied by fireworks at 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to make reservations at one of the many alfresco ocean-view restaurants nearby or bring beach chairs, blankets and picnics.

● Conductor’s Symphony Concert – Thursday, July 10, at 8 p.m., at Temple Emanu-El The next generation of symphonic conductors trains at MMF’s Conducting Institute. These emerging artists study all aspects of the art of conducting with acclaimed faculty and gain valuable experience leading a full orchestra while being coached. Institute fellows then have an opportunity to show off their artistry in a public concert. See MMF Institute fellows perform in Miami Beach as they perform pieces by Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven.

● Marriage of Figaro Performances – Saturday, July 12, at 8 p.m., and Sunday, July 13, at 2 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El One of Mozart’s most beloved works gets a classic retelling, bringing to Miami the music and characters that have captured the hearts of opera lovers all over the world. Servants Figaro and his promised Susanna prepare for their upcoming wedding, only to find that his employer, the Count, has impure intentions for her as well. Fearing that the Count will reinstate the ancient First Night rite to rendezvous with her, Figaro sets about scheming to outsmart him. Meanwhile, the lovely Countess, to whom Susanna is ever faithful, begins to suspect the same and devises her own trap to catch him in his mischief. The classes battle in a light-hearted comedy sung in Italian by the MMF Opera Institute, which features some of Mozart’s most beautiful melodies ever written.

● Rusalka Performances – Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19, at 8 p.m., at Temple Emanu-ElIn Dvořák’s spellbinding masterpiece, a water nymph makes a heartbreaking bargain to become human and win the love of a mortal prince. With its lush, otherworldly score and the famous “Song to the Moon,” Rusalka is a breathtaking tale of longing, sacrifice, and the high cost of desire.

● Ghosts of Versailles Performances – Friday, July 25, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 27, at 1 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El In The Ghosts of Versailles, the spirits have literally come back to court; the court of Louis XVI that is. Marie Antoinette is upset about having been beheaded, so her favorite playwright attempts to entertain her by continuing the adventures of his characters from The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro. This opera-within-an-opera goes awry when Figaro refuses to stick to the script and the playwright must come to the Queen’s rescue and win her affection.
