The New World Gallery at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus invites you to experience “Between Worlds: Figures in Dance and Canvas,” a captivating exhibition that bridges the realms of dance and visual art. Opening on Friday, October 4th, 2024, with a reception from 5pm to 8pm, this collaborative project showcases the remarkable synergy between the Dance and Visual Arts divisions of the New World School of the Arts (NWSA).
“Between Worlds” delves into the expressive power of the human form in motion, capturing the essence of dance through the dynamic mediums of painting and drawing. The exhibition features a compelling juxtaposition of styled costumes from past NWSA dance performances alongside visual artworks that evoke character, movement, emotion, and cultural context.
