March’s Third Saturdays will feature Body + Camera 2019 Miami: The Un/Certain Body along with activations, art, music, performances, video, workshops, zines, and other memorable experiences presented by our Mana Contemporary Miami community throughout the afternoon and evening.

This month’s winner will receive two tickets to the sold-out Leon Bridges concert at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater courtesy of Pabst Blue Ribbon, plus a super-special prize package courtesy of Mana Contemporary Miami community members Dale Zine – Miami Fl and CON_plex (CONCRETA, Noir Age, and Orchid.FM.

BODY + CAMERA 2019: THE UN/CERTAIN BODY
In partnership with Chicago Dancemakers Forum and Montom Arts, Body + Camera presents a broad spectrum of contemporary work in experimental, dance, and performance film, and includes special screenings around the event’s theme. This dynamic film forum celebrates the intersection between the moving body and the moving image, focusing on risk-taking and independent artists, with contemporary, experimental projects that push the medium to its limits.

Featuring more than forty short films by emerging and established artists from around the world that explore the intersection between the body and the moving image, Body + Camera film forum commenced at Mana Contemporary in Jersey City and will travel to Mana Contemporary Chicago later this year.

SHE’S EMOTIONAL LISTENING PARTY, PRESENTED BY DALE ZINE
Mia Carucci presents a series of mixes that reflects her emotions at the time of recording, representing moments of longing and heartbreak. She’s Emotional on tape, the perfect gift to share with a loved one, is available as a limited signed edition at Dale Zine’s shop.

THE ARCHIVIST: VR BY NOTHING LIKE YOU PRODUCTIONS, PRESENTED BY FILMGATE
Nominated for Best Debut Experience and Best Interactive Narrative Experience at the Raindance Film Festival in London, The Archivist: VR is a virtual reality experience inspired by Twin Peaks that takes participants through the curtain and into a strange new world.

ORATION NO. 2: ON THE HUMAN PSYCHE, THE IMAGE, AND SLIPPAGE DURATIONAL PERFORMANCE BY KUNST
A haunted alien landscape provides the setting for a game of fort/da in which the distance between word and symbol has collapsed and the accession to a symbolic order is recontextualized and performed.

NOISTRA PRESENTED BY THE SOUTH FLORIDA REGISTRY OF ALTERNATIVE MUSIC AND ARCHIVE
Learn about and try out musical instruments and contact mics and watch the interactive noise orchestra’s photo slide projections in the Holodeck Sound Sect.

ColemanCollective is a performing arts company that brings together artists from various disciplines—choreographers, dancers, actors, writers, visual artists, directors, musicians—as equal collaborators on performative, educational, and other projects.

Plant-based food enthusiasts creating unique, mouthwatering dishes for the Miami community— all vegan, all the time.

COMMUNITY STANDARDS WORKSHOP PRESENTED BY LAURA MARSH
A workshop in which participants use fabric swatches, iron-on transfers, and hand embroidery to explore ideas around community and identity through, producing tactile sketchbooks that mix text and image.

VIDIUM PORTRAIT SERIES—JONATHAN HANCOCK INSTALLATION PRESENTED BY VIDIUM
VIDIUM’s Video Portrait is a series of unique depictions of interesting artists, beginning with Jonathan Hancock, a multidisciplinary artist, film producer, and noise artist from Brighton, Ohio, whose works deal with underground artistic communities.
